Serving others is a strong part of our United Methodist tradition and we have embraced it as one of our core values at the Church of the Warm Heart. Our mission is to be a part of meeting all people’s needs, beginning with our own church family and the surrounding Meridian community, and extending to other parts of our nation and world.
NU 2 U Thrift Store
The NU 2 U Thrift Store, a ministry of the United Methodist Women, supports local and global mission projects, and honors vouchers given by the church office to families in need.
Open Tuesdays & Fridays – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Meridian Food Bank
The all-volunteer Meridian Food Bank has been serving neighbors for more than a decade, providing food and referrals for other resources. They are supported by our church, other local churches, civic organizations, businesses, and individuals.
Quilters of all experience levels meet weekly, to create unique quilts that are donated to organizations such as the Boise Veterans Administration Hospital. They have donated up to 52 lap quilts in one year.
The Methodist congregations of Whitney, Collister and Meridian collaborate to provide winter clothing and blankets to those in need. Donations are collected in the Joseph’s Closet barrel in the FLC Hall.
Helping Hands volunteers help those in need: preparing and delivering meals, providing transportation, and doing work around the home or yard.
The Lay Chaplains are lay ministers who work alongside our pastors to provide care to our church family, primarily those who are ill, grieving, or no longer able to attend worship.
