Music Ministry

Music Notes

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Psalm 23

Another Advent season has come and gone. It seems like it was just yesterday when we started preparing music for the season. I have to admit that I’m not looking forward to taking down the decorations, as I don’t want to stop the Christmas Celebration. However, as Christians we should never stop celebrating the gift of Christmas, the Birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I want to thank all the amazing musicians that helped with the programs, and kept me lifted up during the hectic season. Many of our musicians put in several hours of preparation and had to sacrifice time with their fami-lies during the holidays. Once again, thank you! I could not do it without you!

I also want to thank the church for your support of the Worship Arts Ministry. I believe we reach many people, and that’s why these outreach events like the Children’s Musical, Cantata, and Christmas Eve services are so important.

As we enter into 2012, I’m so excited to see where the Lord will take this church. It is such a blessing to watch the church grow and watch our ministries flourish. It does seem, however that life continues to get faster and faster. In fact, many of my church friends complain that they are simply worn out. I have to admit that some-times I feel the same way. But God promises to refresh us when we are tired and to give us strength. It’s amazing how much better I feel when I take a few moments to pray, even when I feel that I don’t have time.

I challenge us all this year to pray and let the Lord carry us through, as he calls on the Church of the Warm Heart to grow its ministries and lead more people to His kingdom.eridian Community!

Blessings,

Kade Atwood
