Please continue to pray for all the people affected by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey.

If you would like to donate to help victims of the flooding, you can do so at the website for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).  Because we do a special offering for UMCOR each spring, all of the administrative costs of the agency are already covered.  That means 100 percent of your donations now will go to help victims of disaster.  The head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Monday asked all Americans who are able to do so to make a contribution to one of the agencies helping on the ground; UMCOR is among those recommended.

UMCOR began gathering resources and personnel in the Houston area before the storm hit, with a focus on hygiene kits and flood buckets to help those in most need.  Because of our distance from the disaster, it makes the most sense for those of us in Idaho to make monetary contributions; UMCOR can buy supplies for the kits at a bulk rate (much better than we would get at a retail store) and avoid the cost of shipping the kits and buckets across country.

You can contribute at https://secure3.convio.net/gbgm/site/SPageNavigator/umcor_donate.html?type=1002&project=901670; just follow the instructions.  Please remember to list our church in the appropriate place on the form.
