As little as $10 can save the life of a child.
Malaria is preventable and treatable yet still kills hundreds of thousands of children in Africa each year. The United Methodist Church is part of a global partnership working to beat this disease. You can help by:
- Participating in a 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk – called Faster than the Pastor – at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Ann Morrison Park in Boise. Sign up by clicking on the link https://www.eventbrite.com/e/faster-than-the-pastor-5k-benefiting-imagine-no-malaria-registration-22817961136. The cost is $22.09 for adults and $13.65 for those under 18. All proceeds go to Imagine No Malaria.
- Spreading the word. People are always interested in supporting great causes! Pull together a team of family members, friends, or folks from work or your neighborhood to participate in the 5K. Or ask them to make a tax-deductible donation – either by writing a check to Imagine No Malaria (which you can bring to Meridian United Methodist Church of the Warm Heart) or by donating online at http://www.imaginenomalaria.org. And ask them to spread the word to others.
Together, we can change the world.
